In an emergency

posted 6 years ago

This is the stuff you can get at your 24 hour Wal-Mart type store. And if, in the middle of the night, you need kitten replacer milk, it's a god send. However, it doesn't seem to fill the kittens up as well, or be as palatable, and they don't seem to thrive on it like they do some other products. It keeps them going, but it takes more, and it seems like they take longer to grow to a decent size when this is their main milk. It beats cow milk though, hands down, when it comes to kittens.

Pros: readily available

Cons: doesn't work as well as some of the others

Once we had to use this brand when we ran out of kmr milk.. I would not use it all the time. It is o.k. but, i prefer kmr.

Pros: good for kittens, easy find

Cons: price

Used this

posted 5 years ago

This was the only brand available at night at Wal-Mart, & we had to get something quick. The kittens I was feeding were no more than a week old & sadly most didn't make it but I tried. The ones who did make it did well & thrived.
I haven't used anything else (yet) to compare it to. Should this ever happen again we will use something else as soon as we can get to the pet supply store.
The recommendations from the other comments are very helpful & now I know what to buy, if/when there's a next time. Thank you.

Pros: only formula available 24/7

Cons: not sure

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
