Soft Claws Nail Caps - Kitten Size - Natural

Rating: 3.5

Average rating from 34 reviews.

(3.5 out of 5, based on 34 reviews)

Soft Claws Nail Caps are a simple alternative to declawing when pet scratching is a problem. They are easy to apply and are perfect for cats of all ages. Soft Claws do not interfere with the normal extension and retraction of your cats claws. When applied to front paws, they reduce the potential for damage due to our cat's natural clawing and sharpening behavior. Kit contains: 40 nail caps, 2 tubes adhesive and glue applicator. Sizes: Kitten, small, medium and large and in color choices of purple, pink, clear, blue and red. Kitten comes in clear only. Most average size cats wear medium. If your cat is very small boned, choose the small size. Very large boned cats tend towards large. Kittens ususally are big enough to wear soft claws by 12 - 16 weeks of age. Directions: To test, try a nail cap on first without the adhesive. If it looks too big, don't glue it on. The nail cap should fit snugly, like a glove. The nail caps can also be trimmed to fit if needed. Kittens up to about 5 months of age and 5 pounds body weight generally fit into the kitten size.

Doesn't work for some cats

posted 6 years ago

I was very excited about getting these but when I got them, they didn't work. I think they bothered my cat more than helped him. He, also, would chew them off. However, it's nice because it comes with many nail covers and adhesive. I heard it works for some just not for my cat.

Pros: Alternative for declawing

Cons: Putting them on, taken off easily by cat

We're giving these a try

posted 7 years ago

Just got these for our new kitten. Seems like a better alternative to declawing. Our little guy started to pull at everything in the house and he's still to young for declawing.

Pros: No surgery

Cons: Cats aren't fond of them early on...

Iams ProActive Health Multi-Cat Chicken & Salmon Cat Food

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
