No Fuss Nail Trimmers
posted 5 years ago
Of all the nail trimmers I have tried, I find this design to be the best. Unlike human nail trimmer that can slip, the handle of this nail trimmer gives you good control. The last thing I want to happen when I'm trimming my wiggly cats' nails is for the trimmer to slip. I haven't had any problems with these nail trimmers splitting the nail either. Because it's easy for me to use, I can do the job quicker and keep my cats less stressed.
Pros: non slip, compact
Cons: not sure how to sharpen

Great for Clipping Cat Claws...No Pain!
posted 5 years ago
We bought a pair of these clippers when we got our first cat back in 2001. We got her used to having her nails cut as we do not believe in declawing at all. Then, we added 2 other cats, one an adult and another a young female. We started them out right away using these clippers. We had another type that I think is mostly for dogs and quickly realized we needed this particular type of clipper.
We clip cat claws together. One of us lovingly holds a kitty while the other one quickly clips their nails. We don't make a big deal out of it and so they don't get all hyper. I'd rather clip claws then have someone butcher our cats paws. That happened to our son's cat and it was horrible for him and his cat.
Try this clipper. Try to have someone there to hold the cat while you clip. It's much easier and less disturbing to your cats.
Pros: These are great clippers for cats. No breakage and quick task with these
Cons: Let's face it, no cats like to have their claws cut but these work very well.

These are goo

I like these, they are just the perfect size our kitties. It's a little stressful for them only because this is not their favorite thing to have done...nothing to do with the product
Pros: best for cats
Cons: none

Small size makes them easy to use
posted 5 years ago
I had an old large nail trimmer that I used when I had a dog and it was too big and hard too use with the cats. A human nail cutter failed to make clean cuts.
I tried this and it makes a nice cut.
It is small enough to hide in your pocket, (so the cat can't hide from you). It can be turned so that you can use either hand (and not lose your grip on the cat). It also lets you see exactly what you are cutting.
My girls don't like having thier nails done but I found that a little cat nip after they are done helps.
Pros: They are small and can be used with both hands
Cons: Large thick nails may be a problem
