used this in my Pfeffer cat. He did not like it...but he always felt better after.
18 g needle works best. Do not do this w/out a vets direction!!!!!!
Pros: helps the kidneys work
Cons: gotta do SQ fluids

Helps dehydration

One of my cats had to go for fluid therapy last year because he was dehydrated. The techs administered Lactated Ringers and within a short time he perked. My other cats have also been treated with Lactated Ringers at various points in their lives and it has always helped bring them around and hydrate them nicely.
Pros: Replenishes fluids in pets
