Tough on odors. Gentle on the environment.Yesterday's News brand Cat Box Filler is the environmentally-friendly cat litter made from recycled newspapers. The super-absorbent paper pellets trap three times more moisture than clay and are virtually dust-free. Minimum 70% recycled paper material (70% of which is recycled newspaper). Unscented, softer texture formula is a smaller size to feel more like clay on your cat's paws. 13.2 lb. bag is equal to 20 lbs. clay litter by volume. Directions: Use a moisture-proof cat box large enough to comfortably accommodate your cat(s). Maintain cat box filler at a depth of two to three inches for pawing and covering. The manufacturer recommends removing waste areas daily. Clean the cat box with warm water and a mild detergent between litter changes. Transitioning Your Cat: While some cats can switch from one litter type to another easily, your cat may require a transition. If so, you should follow this simple transition schedule: Week One: Mix 1/3 Yesterday's News with your current litter. Week Two: Mix 1/2 Yesterday's News with 1/2 current litter. Week Three: 100% Yesterday's News.Used litter is not recommended for garden use. Flushing of cat litter or disposal in drains is not recommended. Store in a dry place. Note: The manufacturer wants to remind those with suppressed immune systems and pregnant women that a parasite sometimes found in cat feces can cause toxoplasmosis. Please wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat box filler.

Love this

posted 5 years ago

I love this litter. It keeps the box from smelling for ages. It soaks up 10x the weight. But why is it so freaking expensive? Its made from recycled newspaper, right? They can't make this for less than $17/bag?

Pros: great cat litter

Cons: EXPENSIVE

Dust free...no paw prints!

posted 5 years ago

My vet recommended this product after one of my cats was declawed. Fortunately the vet gave me a free bag of the product as, when I considered purchasing more, I realized how expensive this would be to keep my pets using it. I will say that it served it's purpose as, the cat did not get an infection in it's claws :) I also really enjoyed the fact that there was no dust for my cats to track around the home. I would consider using this product on a regular basis if I could afford to do so.

Pros: No dust; no odor.

Cons: Somewhat expensive

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
