Planet Petco Natural Cat Litter Deodorizer
(5 out of 5)
Planet PETCO Natural Cat Litter Deodorizer controls urine odor at the source.
January 11, 2011 3:44 pm | By Zootoo Editor Flinn D.
The Natural Litter Deodorizer from Planet PETCO is an effective way to remove those tough, nasty stenches that emanate from your cat litter all too often.
Although every litter package contains extensive claims about how their litter formula removes 100% of the odor of pet waste, pet owners know that just isn’t the case. So if you’re ready to own up to the fact that litter formula can only do so much – welcome to the world of litter deodorizers.
As these deodorizers go, Planet Petco’s offering does a few things –and does them quite well. First of all, it’s important that deodorizers – like litters – contain nothing that could be harmful to your pet. Since Planet Petco is made from zeolite – a naturally occurring deodorizer – you can rest assured that it is okay for your pet to walk around on and, now and then, ingest.
Litter deodorizers like Planet Petco do more than just reduce smell, they make your litter last longer. One of my biggest issues with litter is their lifespan, which seems to get shorter as the litters get more natural. I like buying products that are as friendly to the planet as they are to my pets so this has long been an area of consternation for me.
But dabble of this deodorizer can go a long way towards stretching out the time between trips to the pet store — a welcome change of pace, especially for multi-cat households.
Pros: Natural ingredients; effective at stopping smell when litter falls short.
