This pan controls the litter spillage but thats about it. When cats urinate on the clipped on hood it trickles down and gathers on the rim of the bottom pan and if there is enough you will get your hands in it when you unclip the hood. The handle is flimsy when moving the pan with cat sand in it. Clips are made of plastic and not very durable.

I really like these hooded litter pans because they keep every thing so much cleaner without having litter scattered everywhere. Another advantage is the filter which reduces odor. It has a carrying handle for moving it around when cleaning.

We have some of these at the shelter, we do not use the lids because they are just another thing to wash. The high back litter boxes are great. They are durable and nice looking.

Pros: keeps litter inside the pan, use with or without the hood,

My cat would not use this litter box, but I do not think the problem was the litter box, I think my cat is just an exhibitionist.

Pros: Good design, keeps mess in.

Cons: My cat would not go in it.
