Petco Enclosed Litter Boxes

I have this in my upstairs hall and it is ok without being my favorite. It is nice and large and sturdy. The top locks onto the base, which means you can carry it by the handle, which is nice but I never do that. I do regularly remove the top to scoop, though, and the side locks are not easy to maneuver. Also, the opening is nice and big so my dog can stick her head in and check out the contents-- ugh. I got this because my favorite litter box wore out and I could not find it again. This one is functional and not too expensive.

Pros: Large, not too expensive basic covered litter box

Cons: Top is more difficult to remove and replace than most

My husband and I have several very large cats who cannot use this pan with the lid. We had to quit using the lid because several cats could not get inside to use the litter box. Without the top, the pan itself is too low, causing litter to spill out over the sides. So we now use very deep, large plastic containers for litter boxes.

Pros: Keeps most litter intact inside the box

Cons: Not large enough for some cats
