I had one of these when I had my first two, which at the time they were kittens.

At times, even though I was using clumping litter, the clumps were sometimes broken down, and pieces were left in the litter which I had to scoop.

You can't fill it too much with litter or it will get stuck, but you also can't put too little or it really won't help.

The plastic containers that hold the used litter fills isn't that large so it fills up very fast. If you have more than one cat you need to change it daily, and those containers are quite expensive. You can make them last by wrapping them in one of those supermarket bags, but that's not exactly great for the environment.

I have 5 cats and this would be way too much trouble to clean.

After I got rid of mine, I just went back to scooping. It's faster and easier and it's not so bad.

Pros: Saves some trouble scooping

Cons: Also is a bit of trouble.

We got one of these years ago, and it sure solved a lot of arguments about who was supposed to clean the litterbox today!

Pros: saves time and effort

Cons: You gotta shell out the bucks
