Feline Piine Review
posted 5 years ago
We have been using this cat litter for about two years. Overall we are mostly satisfied. It is great to know that they are not strip mining mountains simply for the purpose of making cat litter. Also, we love how we can use the sawdust as mulch or put it in our compost pile. Some disadvantages are that, especially in our uncovered litter boxes, the pine smell doesn't last very long. Also, it gets dusty and the cats track it out of the litter box easily. It is difficult to scoop because of the pine chunks so we just scoop it on weekends and use the saw dust as mulch. We would definitely recommend this litter to people who care a lot about the environment and are willing to put up with a little mess and going to the trouble of using the sawdust as mulch.
Pros: Natural, compostable, recycles wasted lumber
Cons: Pine scent doesn't last long, messy, hard to scoop

I like it but my cats don't
posted 5 years ago
I eagerly bought Feline Pine believing it to be the answer to my concerns about standard clumping litters (dust, etc.). I filled the cat boxes, introduced the cats to the new stuff and then... my three cats went everywhere BUT in the cat boxes. No matter how hard I tried they just did not like the pine.
Pros: Much nicer than other cat litters
Cons: My cats refused to use it

Pretty Good Litter
posted 5 years ago
I haven't found any cat litter that works perfectly but you can't expect miracles. I have found with the pellets the cats don't track everywhere, which they do with other types. This has a better scent than most, and your cat is not inhaling the dust that is created from other types of litter.
Pros: not dusty
Cons: A little expensive if you have multiple cats

Feline Pine is Fine
posted 5 years ago
One of the reasons I avoided having a cat for so long was that I could not stand stepping on little grains of litter all over the house. This is a non-issue with Feline Pine. Additionally it is super absorbent and I never have an odor problem. I would never use anything else.
Pros: No odor, no little bits to step on all over your house
Cons: Can't see any

Nice scent
posted 5 years ago
I mix this stuff with other clay litter for odor control and with little kittens the pellets don't break down as fast with little amounts of pee pee. I do love the scent and the cats don't mind it, either. I should probably use the product all by itself.
Pros: pellets not messy
Cons: hard to scoop
