These are great for kittens, who love to play and go in and out of the holes. My older cats tended not to like them for much of anything besides sitting on top of them. But other than that, they are great for cats, with durable carpeting for them to scratch on, etc. My smallest dog even tried to get inside the bottom hole.

We have several at the shelter of differant sizes. The cats love to play,sleep and some hide. They are not so expensive that a shelter can't afford one or two.

These are really great items to have. Our cats seem to really enjoy them. They do collect alot of hair however...which is sometimes hard to clean and to get into small spaces...
