The Petkin LickStick makes hairball control a breeze.

Ah spring, when love is in the air and hairballs are on the floor. Spring is a particularly difficult time for cats who are stripping down to their flirty summer wear, but cats can have hairball issues year round. With this in mind, you would think your cat wouldn’t rebuff your efforts to treat him with some fashion of gooey hairball fighting goodness, but they do. Unfortunately, with six cats, I have had a lot of trouble finding the hairball remedy that is a real crowd pleaser. Three might find one goopy concoction delicious while the others refuse to even lick it off their paw. That is why I am smitten with this neat Hairball LickStick.
It looks like Teen Spirit. It smells like teen shoe. Cats line up for this push-up of goo. When I walk into the living room with this malt-flavored delight, I feel like the ice cream man for kitties. Everybody crowds around and I pass out licks. With other hairball remedies I squeezed stuff onto little plates, but this hairball remedy is packaged like a deodorant stick. I just take the lid off and point it at individual cats like I’m Jerry Springer and the cats are fired-up audience members.
After regular use, I can say from a medicinal standpoint, it actually helps the cats both prevent and pass hairballs. I must caution humans not to allow their cats to overindulge in this treat like medicine. I had company in May and in an effort to keep hairball incidents to a minimum during their stay, gave all the cats a healthy helping of Petkin’s product. In the end, pun intended, that caused a different sort of trouble. My guests arrived to a living room where several cats had not quite made it to the box. Oh dear. Once everyone got that out of their system, the rest of the weekend went just as smoothly.
The Hairball LickStick takes the mess out of medicating cats and keeps the mess off your floor. I can’t imagine what took them so long to give us this simple solution to a sticky problem.
Pros: Easy to use; effective in keeping hairballs off the floor.
Cons: Be careful to follow instructions for use - the product should be considered medicine, not a treat.

Great product for long-haired cats

This product was a hit with my cat - and helped keep hairball problems at a minimum. Definitely worth trying if your cat is a big shedder during the summer months.
Pros: Convenient, keeps house clean
Cons: None.
