Cat Harness - Oxymoron?

I like to take my cat outside in my yard but only if I'm watching him. Since I have yard work, etc, to do outside, I thought it would be a good idea to attach him to the fence with a harness so he would have room to walk around, sniff plants, etc, but not get away. Well, I hooked him up, walked toward my door to go inside and when I glanced back the little Houdini was already out of it. I decided it wasn't meant to be and didn't try it again. Not saying it was a bad product....just didn't work for me and my cat.
Pros: Great idea...
Cons: Didn't work for my cat
