My vet recommended this food for my long haired mature cat. It worked quite well and because it is low in fat and calories also helped maintain her weight.

We accidentally bought this instead of the Science Diet Light. Our cats didn't notice a difference. I like that the pieces are big, which means our cats have to chew them. Our vet also said that the hairball control is lower in calories than the Science Diet Light which is good since we have some overweight cats.

I just started using the light Hairball Control formula about 3 months ago. It was a good change from the R/D diet I had my two cats on previously.

The light Hairball Control is not too heavy on the fiber like the R/D seemed to be. Both cats like it and just wish I would give them more!

Both cats are showing signs of weight loss which is great because one was 18 pounds and truly needs to have a lighter diet and less of it ;-)

We use this sometimes when we cannot figure out why the cat has diarehea. Science Diet has alittle more fiber and that may be what is missing from the cat.
