I love this product. I have used it for many years with all of my cats. I have had great success with it. When I remember to give it to them regularly it completely prevents hair balls, even in long-haired breeds. I would say 90% of the cats I have owned have eagerly eaten this gel-type product. I have one cat that does not like this product at all, but she has been the huge exception to the rule. Even with her, I use gentle pressure at the hinge of her jaw and quickly squirt the paste from the tube into her mouth. I then gently rub her nose. For some reason this causes her to try to lick her nose, and she cannot help but swallow the product. With a little practice, even cats who do not readily lap up the Petromalt can easily be given this product.

I could never really tell if this worked or not. I used it as a preventative measure. The cats really love the taste.

With the exception of a couple, all my cats like the taste. Some of my cats will lick it straight from the container and others have to be persuaded a little. But the important thing is it takes care of the hairball problem.
