Works well for two of 3 cats

posted 6 years ago

I bought one of these just because I happened to see it near the Drug Store check out.As many Flea combs that I own,I swear the cats hide them all from me,so I can never have enough.lol
I have 3 cats.Cosmo and Abbie have very fine hair, where T-Bone has a very very thick coat.
I found that using this lice comb on Cosmo and Abbie worked really well. The teeth on the comb were close enough to where it did actually pull out a few flea eggs, without getting caught up in their fur and pulling extra hair out.
T-Bone was another story. He seems to carry a "Winter coat" all year long, and the lice comb was just too small to actually even run through his coat. All it was able to catch was any loose hair that happened to be on T.
I would recommend it for anyone who has short/fine haired pets though,as it certainly worked on them.

Pros: works well with the finer cat hair

Cons: thick coated cats need something bigger

Worked fine for a while

posted 6 years ago

I assume (given the lack of discription) that is would be the more common plastic variety. When my cats went through a bout of fleas, I found plastic comb not very useful, as they caught on the cats' fur and broke. No, I wasn't pulling very hard or anything. When I got the pricey metal kind, it worked better.

Pros: Did get the fleas

Cons: Teeth caught on her fur, broke easily

Fleas be gone

posted 6 years ago

I have used lice combs on my cats for years. They loved being combed out and getting those nasty fleas out of their fur. These combs get deep into the fur and dig those critters out and off of the cats. I would recommend them for all cat owners

Pros: Gets deep into the fur

Cons: They break easily

Great

posted 5 years ago

This was recommended by the vet many years ago, and we've never used anything since for the short-hairs. It gets down to the skin and is fine enough that it gets all of the loose hair. And gives a nice back scratch at the same time

Pros: combs

Cons: none

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
