Flexible Cat Grooming Brush
posted 6 years ago
I have several cats that aren't too thrilled with the prospect of being brushed and groomed by a human. They feel that they can handle that job on their own. This brush is pliable and flexible, but may not fit correctly in a very large or very small human hand.
I like that the brush "bristles" are of flexible rubber and not of hard metal. Even my cats who are cranky about being brushed tolerate this brush pretty well. The brush fills up quickly with cat fur, so you must stop and pluck out the fur wads. My problem is keeping the cat from ingesting the just removed fur. The whole point is to remove fur and prevent hairballs, so I don't need the cat to defeat this purpose by eating the hair brushings.
I have a couple cats who like to chew things, especially items made of rubber or plastic. They have chewed down several of the bristles on this brush when I left it out. This has made the brush a bit uneven and difficult to get even brush strokes.
Overall, a moderately priced cat grooming tool that is fairly effective--just don't let your kitties chew on the bristles.
Pros: Brush bends in hand and over caty hip and shoulder points; flexible bristles
Cons: Not too convinced this brush massages the cat
