We have several of these combs, for our rabbits. It's funny how people donate many things that arent for rabbits, but they still work. I've used this on several breeds with higher maintenance fur...such has the jersey wooleys, lion heads, angoras, and even some agoutis. Really great for mats. Many times animals are turned loose outdoors and have a hard time surviving. When that happens, many time their fur gets matted from the elements. This is a gentle tool that will help us comb out the mats with out too much stress for the bunnies. Recently, I used it on Munchkins bottom. Even thought she is a Californian, her fur still needs a good brushing now and then.

Ok, so its really not that expensive since it works. My overweight cat got some nasty mats and this actually pulled them out and has cut way down on his shedding. It doesn't seem to hurt him either since he actually seems to like being combed with it.

This is a wonderful tool for cats and dogs that have long thin hair. My cat loves getting combed with this but it is sharp so you have to be careful.
