All three of my cats love this basket! When we first brought it home, Onyx was the only cat and she wanted nothing to do with it. We kept it in the corner anyway, just in case while we were gone she may want to curl up in the basket. When I brought home the two male cats from the shelter, Prancer immediately went in and curled up! Now they all take turns sleeping in it. We keep it next to a window that sits low to the ground, which gives more sunlight and warmth to the area around the basket. My cats not only sleep in it, they also hoard their toys in there! ha ha And the wicker draws their declawed paws to scratch it. This is by far one of the better cat hideaways we've tried. The only negative for this basket is the fact that one of the two handles on top fell off. As stated in the Cons section, the handles are also wicker, which is easy to break if you have had this for a long time.

Pros: The cozy bedding material inside is removable, so it is easy to toss in the washing machine to clean.

Cons: Unfortunately the handles on top are also made of wicker, so with use for moving the basket often, they can fall off.

I have tried a number of covered beds for my cat but this one works. I think it is the wicker. The sound moving against wicker makes...cats do love the sound of paper bags! And my cat does use the wicker as a scratching thingy. But this wicker is strong and wears well. And cozy and comfortable.

Gizmo is very spoiled and has this basket. He loves to play with gizmo is a ball of energy. He usually jumps on top of it and thats where he plays with his catnip mouse.

my 5 cats love this hideaway. they lay in it all the time. I need to buy another one because they all want to sleep in it. good price and very durable.
