Wysong Uretic Feline Diet

My kitties love this food and I can feel really good about giving it to them. It is low ash, high protein, and great for their little kidneys. Because Wysong uses such quality ingredients, I haven't had to worry about problems that have affected other cat food companies.

When my elderly cat was near the end of her life due to kidney problems, this was her preferred dry food. (She also had wet food, but simply liked dry food too much to deprive her of that at that time.) The research I did suggested that the foods requiring a vet's prescription just were not that healthy, despite coming from the vet. I searched for both wet and dry food with lower protein levels since protein taxes the kidneys. I had her try a few varieties, and this was what she liked best.

One advantage I've found is that Wysong is among the less expensive foods when you're looking at natural or premium brands.

I wasn't sure how to answer the questions above since ease of access was just not an issue. But you have to answer all questions, or you can't post your review.

Pros: lower protein levels which helps cats with kidney problems

Cons: should not be only food eaten since it has a low moisture content
