My male cats are prone to getting crystals since they are fixed. Max ended up at the vets & had to have surgery since he developed crystals. The vet recommended a special food for all my male cats since they are fixed. None of my cats would eat the special food the vet sold us. I tried the Purina One Urinary Tract Formula food & it was a hit w/ all four of my cats. They have been on it for at least 5 years now & no more crystals! I like Purina products, I trust Purina. I can call them on the 1-800 # they have w/ any questions I have or concerns. I called quite a bit when there was all the recalls & food scares going on. Purina didn't have problems. They do not import wheat gluten from China & they continue to confirm this when I ask to make sure the food I am giving my pets from Purina is safe. I recommend this product to anyone with male cats that are fixed. I purchase ours in the largest bag available @ our local Wal-Mart. It's cheapest to buy the largest bag and store it really well.

My male cat is prone to urinary tract inferctions and since his last spat with it a few years ago, we couldn't afford the vet food anymore and I chose to put him on Purina One's formula he has not had an infection since late 2004!! I would reccomend this brand to anyone! we are very pleased

This is an excellent food. my cat was diagnosed with stones in his urinary tract/ bladder and had to eat a special type of expensive Science Diet for his urinary tract problem from the vet for a long time. Finally, the vet actually recommended this food to me and told me I could put my cat on it and he has been extremely healthy since he has been on. No more crystals in his bladder! No more peeing all over the house! I also feed this food to my other cat who doesn't have the problem and she is very healthy.

My cat had severe urinary tract issues and would repeatedly get crystals forming in his urethra. He had to have surgery to fix some of these issues. The vet put him on the Science Diet food that was good for Urinary issues, but it was so expensive and in such tiny bags. I mentioned this stuff to him and he said to give it a try. My kitty has done great on it and has had no reoccurring bladder issues.

Give it a try if your vet thinks it will work for your cats urinary issues.
