This waterer is so handy for people like me that have several animals. With it I don't have to refill bowls every day and I don't have to worry when I'm gone for a few days either. One less thing to do in my busy schedule. The cats also seem to like the constant refresh of water. Other than Gus leaving little bits of food in the dish that doesn't get cleaned out as often as a water dish would, I think these are very handy. The container holds plenty of water and is small enough to not get in the way.

I guess these come in differenct sizes and the bigger ones have a lid on the top that comes off. I have a little one for our cats in the garage. It has a bottle neck sized opening to fill and try to clean the inside through. I have had green slime building up inside mine for years and could never find a brush that could really get at it. And then someone suggested I use some rock salt and and vinegar and swish it around inside. It took everything off and made it as clean as the day I bought it! Like a miracle. Surely someone else out there can use this info too!

This waterer is great if you have a lot of pets. If we didn't use this, we would have a dry water bowl all the time. The water in the resevoir will last us a few days at a time, but the bowl begins to look gross after a couple days. We never fill up our resevoir, b/c the bowl would need to be cleaned out before they finished it anyway.

This is a great waterer and I wouldn't use anything else. We have two for our mutli-animal family. They work great and the animals love to drink out of them. Makes life much easier for not having to fill up bowls all the time.
