I don't like these buckets. I've seen them and felt bad for every dog with one. It allows people to make their dog live outside when a dog is a social pack animal that would rather be in the house warm with there pack.

I like the idea of keeping water available for outdoor pets. I don't believe though that cats can tolerate the cold weather like dogs though. It looks too tall for a cat to drink from too. This might be great to have available for dogs but I don't see that it is practical for cats.

Pros: This would help in extreme cold temps when water freezes

My Uncle uses the Petmate Heated Water Bucket for their large outside dog in the winter months. He puts the bucket in the garage and plugs it in then Navajo can have a drink whenever he wants while coming and going to the garage.

Pros: Keeps the water bucket from freezing

Cons: None

I'm not sure that I would mix water and electricity. I wouldn't want my animals to get hurt. You never know when this may melfunction.

Pros: no frozen water

Cons: I don't trust
