Okay

posted 5 years ago

This food is good food for a normal cat. And upon deciding to use it as it was declared a gluten free food, I discovered Barley was an ingredient. I have written them about this as Barley's protein is gluten laden. Unless they are processing the grain in a way so as to extract the gluten before including it in the food (which I doubt) it is NOT gluten free. It also contains barley malt...again not gluten free. I think the folks at Blue Buffalo need to get someone on their staff that actually knows what they are talking about when it comes to Glutens. I am a celiac and have had to live my life avoiding gluten so I think I am pretty sure what grains contain gluten.

Pros: Good Food

Cons: Can't think of any

Good for older cat

posted 5 years ago

My cat was used to Iams dry food. I saw this Spa Select advertised online at Petco. So added it to my Xmas list order for Kitty. I knew the brand was quality and the nutrition high, and especially good for older cats. My cat is age 20. The brown rice was a big vitamin nutrition boost.

My cat loves it. The morsels are small which is good as she has lost some teeth. Her coat is beautiful. A wee thin but holding up like my girl is.

Pros: Quality food

Cons: None

Quality brand

posted 5 years ago

Spa Select made by Blue Buffalo is real quality food. My cat is finicky but eats this one. The brown rice is loaded with vitamins. Her coat is shiny and full.

I need to buy this in specialty animal stores. Grocery stores do not sell it. Costs a little more, but well worth it.

Pros: Loads of Vits

Cons: none

Delicious!

posted 5 years ago

This chicken and brown rice recipe cat food has been well received by all the felines I have ever offered it to. It seems to work especially well for kitties with sensitive stomachs.

Pros: Healthy

Cons: A little pricey

What I Feed My Cats!

posted 5 years ago

I wish I had known many years ago what difference diet makes. My cats are so healthy and happy eating this food. You can see how the difference looking into the bright eyes and stroking the amazingly soft fur. I saw a difference very quickly. I feel that the cost difference is an investment in the health of my cats. I also supplement with kitty grass or organic wheat grass for my cats.

Pros: Hi quality food

Cons: Cats pick thru and avoid the lifesource bits!
