Not a good food
posted 4 years ago
Purina products just really aren't worthwhile anymore. Packed with low quality proteins, allergens, and empty fillers, Purina One Growth adn Development is literally junk food for kittens.
First ten ingredients in Purina One Growth and Development:
Chicken, chicken by-product meal, soy flour, corn gluten meal, brewers rice, beef tallow, corn meal, fish meal, poultry by-product meal, natural flavors
Translation:
good protein source, meat waste (beaks, feathers, feet, bones, diseased carcasses, unformed eggs), allergen and undigestible protein, allergen and undigestible protein, cheap carbohydrate, rancid rendered beef (an allergen) fat, allergen and empty carbohydrate, fish cannery waste, more meat waste (beaks, feathers, feet, bones, diseased carcasses, unformed eggs), and flavors can be anything from broth to blood to feces.
Sounds nutritious and appetizing, no?
Pros: available everywhere
Cons: awful ingredients

Foster kitties
posted 4 years ago
I use this food to get foster kittens fat enough to go up for adoption. It works well for young and growing kittens. Not all kitties like the taste, so I usually end up mixing some wet food in with it.
Pros: Good weight gain
Cons: not all cats like it

Purina One Products Are Great
posted 5 years ago
All the Purina One products are great. Our cats (we have 4) have eaten Purina One since they were little and they have always been quite healthy. I would recommend this prodict line to everyone!
Pros: Cats seem to love the taste
Cons: None

Good for my picky eaters and my recovering cats
posted 5 years ago
This easy-pour container is great and the food is nutritious for my kitties and my 2-3 rotating group recovering from some problem. I try to use it only for those since it is expensive.
Pros: Healthy for my sicker cats and young'uns
Cons: cost, of course
