Thomas says, it's OK.

posted 5 years ago

We started Thomas, our older kitty on this food when his weight got to be just over the unhealthy mark, and he's eating it, but somewhat reluctantly, he loved his Purina Naturals food, maybe a little too much!! He is getting adjusted to it, and I have to say he seems to be slimming out even if just a little after about 6 weeks. He is playing a little with the kitten we're fostering, which is good, so it's working and he seems to be adjusting to the taste. I would recommend it if your cat is starting to become, or is already overweight, just like us they feel so much better when they're at a healthy weight.

Pros: Healthy

Cons: price, not his favorite

My Fat Cat Shrunk

posted 6 years ago

My 10 year old cat, Othello should weigh 15 lbs. He's a big cat to begin with, possibly Maine Coon X, but he shouldn't be 19 lbs big! I tried many high quality foods from the Pet stores, but Hill's Prescription OM was the only one to help drop the weight. At first, Othello threw it up, but that's not unusual for him with a new food. I believe he likes it because he eats it right when I pour it in the dish. I just hope he doesn't need to be on it forever because the cost for this food isn't light!

Pros: it's the only one that works

Cons: very pricey
