Excellent Quality Food
posted 5 years ago
I used to feed a lesser quality cat food and decided to switch when my mom raved on the dog food. Especially with all the pet foods being recalled. Eagle Pack is made close to where I live also! They test every ingredient that goes into their food so there is never a risk of contamination or recall with their food. Very good quality ingredients, human grade, with no fillers. My cats have great looking coats and are very healthy. I don't mind spending extra for a great food, plus they have 'free' offers when you buy so many bags.
Pros: all natural, quality human grade food, all food is tested for safety
Cons: expensive

Overall Probably A High Quality But Not Appropriate For All Cats
posted 5 years ago
Overall this is a good quality food with higher-quality ingredients than found in most commercial cat foods. However, my main concern is that it contains a lot of ingredients that cats don't normally eat: blueberries, cranberries, peas, etc. that contain a lot of sugar that can be harmful to cats over the longer term, especially in terms of weight control and diabetes. This diet is NOT appropriate for a diabetic cat.
Pros: Higher-Quality Ingredients, Less Preservatives And Chemicals
Cons: Still Preserved With Tocopherols Like Commercial, High Sugar Content, Cranberry Not Proven To Benefit Feline Urinary Tract

Eagle pack is better than most
posted 5 years ago
I use Eagle pack regularly for my cats. I generally by the large breeder pack & will mix other food into it. This is more expensive, so I mix this with the other. The cats have done well on Eagle pack; it seem that the ingredients are nutritious, though I dont usually think of cats needing fruit.
Pros: better than average ingredients
Cons: still some additives

Eagle holistic is VERY good quality food!
posted 5 years ago
I've fed other 'premium' foods over the years but became very concerned during the poisoned pet food disaster. Eagle was one of the few brands that was NOT included in any of the recalls - so I went back to it as my primary cat food. Keeps my cats healthy and happy with silky soft fur!
Pros: I trust the quality
Cons: none
