I love morris, but....
posted 5 years ago
I have always loved Morris the Cat and think that the One Million Cats Saved and Counting Campaign is simply wonderful, but the ingredients in this food are woeful. The Plus Care Grilled Tuna and Egg Flavor contains (in order): Whole ground corn (?), corn gluten (terrible), poultry by-product meal (don't think we even want to know what this is), whole wheat (?), animal digest (?), animal fat (with preservatives), meat and bone meal and the usual additives and some vitamins and minerals. This food claims to aid digestive health, but all these carbs--cats do not need carbs--and they may very well cause feline diabetes. Please think twice before buying these types of dry foods.
Pros: Cats Will Eat - Inexpensive
Cons: Far too many carbs - By-products

Great for non-picky cats

This is a cheaper alternative to the fancier foods but it is a little more expensive than the cheaper foods. Our cats really will eat anything & we have never noticed side effects from anything they have eaten. Of course, certain types seem to disappear more quickly... The 9 Lives Plus Care claims to have vitamins so I felt pretty good sharing it with Elton & Thindy but they didn't seem to notice one way or the other so I guess it is AOK in their book :)
Pros: Our older cats liked it
Cons: A little more expensive
