Started foster kittens on this

posted 5 years ago

Kitten food is pricier because it has more protein in it than adult food. I started my fosters on this food, and gradually switched to a half-and half mixture of Science Diet kitten and Iams kitten. Eventually, I gave them Iams adult. I didn't want to stick with a pricey food brand if their adopters weren't going to continue them on it.

Pros: Moist kibble and not too crunchy for young kittens

Cons: Expensive

Not what I expected

posted 5 years ago

We were given two bags when we got our cats at the shelter. I had always heard cats eat less of this food and therefore "go" less. I didn't find that to be true. They eat just as much as with regular cat food and the cost is really high.

Pros: Healthy food

Cons: cost
