Praziquantel Feline Tape Worm Tabs, 3 x 23 mg Tabs SKU: 016TW-8783 [printable] If your pet has fleas, it also has tape worms! 3 tablets of 23 mg Praziquantel per bottle. This is the only FDA approved Praziquantel for over the counter sales. No Prescription required. Field trials have shown Praziquantel Tape Worm Tabs to be 100% effective and safe for the removal of common tapeworms in adult cats and kittens. May be crumbled and mixed with food. FOR CATS AND KITTENS: 4 lbs and under give 1/2 tablet; 5-11 lbs give 1 tablet; over 11 lbs give 1-1/2 tablets. Not intended for use in kittens under 6 weeks of age. Fasting not necessary. Tapeworm Facts: Cats can be infested with two types of tapeworms. Fleas carry the most common type, and rodents carry the less common type. Tapeworm segments are often visible on the surface of your pets stool. They usually appear as short (1/2-3/4"), flat, white particles, that when first passed are mobile; or they may be passed still connected in a long, flat string. Dry segments may stick to your pets hair, and look similar to a grain of rice. Until recently, the only effective control has required a prescription. However, Praziquantel Feline Tape Worm Tabs are now available without a prescription, and are 100% effective in ridding your pet of both types of tapeworms. •Now available without a prescription. •Removes both types of tapeworms in adult cats and kittens over 6 weeks of age. •100% safe and effective when used according to label directions. •Sized for easy oral administration or may be crumbled and mixed with food. •Each tablet contains 23 mg Praziquantel. Works great

We use this at the animal shelter for our cats that show signs of tape worms. However, due to the price of them we do not automatically use this on all cats entering the shelter.

Pros: Works great

Cons: Pricey

Rice is nice unless it is moving. Ewwww

posted 6 years ago

When my cat was walking on the back of the couch, something caught my eye. It was a wiggling, squirming tape worm segment that made me shutter. I immediately got online and found what I needed. I ordered the tablets and they arrived 5 days later. I have to say that the internet is a cost efficient way of taking care of these little nasty worms. Our local vet wanted way too much money and a visit for a "check-up". No thanks.. I am qualified to make a diagnosis of a tapeworm.

When the pills got there, I began dosing the felines up. Isabella had them for sure, and the other two got the dose as a prophylactic. No more tapeworms!!!!!! Yeah..

bye bye rice....

Pros: This med got rid of my cat's tapeworms.

Cons: It took a few days to get to my home.
