Petrodex® Dental Care Starter Kit for Dogs & Cats For Puppies & Kittens, Toothbrush Benefit: The kit comes with a toothbrush designed for small mouths. Comes with a 0.4 ounce sample sachet of Enzymatic Toothpaste Poultry Flavor. The toothbrush has super soft bristles to ensure comfort. Brushes are dishwasher safe. The Enzymatic Toothpaste is non-foaming, so rinsing is not necessary. Use: Brushing is the best way to clean a pet's teeth at home. Initially, apply a small amount of toothpaste to your finger and let the pet lick your finger. Gradually introduce the brush. Lift the lips, begin brushing with short, back & forth strokes at the gumline. Brush only a few teeth the first time. Lots of petting and praise will make this an acceptable routine. Ingredients: Sorbitol, Purified Water, Dicalcium Phosphate, Hydrated Silica, Glycerin, Poultry Digest, Dextrose, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Benzoate, Glucose Oxidase (Aspergillus niger)

I don't know about your cat but mine didn't want anything to do with the toothbrush.

Pros: Keeps teeth clean

Cons: difficult to use

Nice thought. . . but no

posted 6 years ago

I tried to brush my cat's teeth but he didn't care for it. He liked the flavor of the toothpaste, almost too much. All he wanted to do was lick it off the toothbrush. I gave up after only a couple weeks. It just wasn't worth the freaked out cat and scratched up arms. I stand by this decision even though I just spent hundreds of dollars to get his teeth cleaned.

Pros: Tastes good (to the cat)

Cons: It's hard to get a cat to let you brush his teeth
