Feline Greenies Dental Treats freshen breath with an appealing taste.

August 19, 2010 10:00 pm | By Zootoo Editor Emily S.

As someone who’s almost compulsively on the lookout for new cat treats – it seems I can’t go into a pet store without buying a few new snacks for Francie to try – I recommend Feline Greenies as among the best of the best.

Although the treats themselves (Feline Greenies are a murky dark green color) and their packaging (they come in a resealable cardboard-brown pouch) seem almost calculatedly un-snazzy in their presentation, what Feline Greenies lack in aesthetic punch they more than make up for in cat-appeal; my cat gobbles up as many as I’ll give her (the recommended serving for her size is 8-10 pieces).

Although Francie may not know that her breath is getting sweeter with every crunch, I do – and I’m happy to supplement her regular diet with a snack I feel is both healthy and tasty. Feline Greenies come five flavors: Ocean Fish, Oven Roasted Chicken, Savory Salmon, Tempting Tuna, and Succulent Beef.

As with all cat treats, do not give your cat more than the recommended number of Feline Greenies, and make sure to provide plenty of fresh water at all times.

Pros: Cats will love the taste — you will love the improved breath.

Cons: As with all treats, keep plenty of water handy.

Sophie loves these treats

posted 4 years ago

My 3 month old kitten has this habit of getting super-excited and swallowing her treats whole if they are too small or too soft.. So, I got her a bag of Greenies in Salmon to encourage her to chew her treats.. She loves Greenies and these treats have worked in helping her chew her food well.. Works well with teething kitties.. When she's done with this flavor, I'll try another kind..

Pros: Healthy, good for teeth, tasty varieties..

Cons: None..

Bubbles likes the Ocean Fish flavor!

posted 5 years ago

These are cute little toothbrush shaped dental treats that come in several flavors. My cat likes the Ocean Fish flavor. I like them because they are small so I can give her several, but large enough that she actually has to chew them. I don't know yet how much good they do as far as a form dental care because I have not been using them very long.

Pros: Delicious (or so I believe, I haven't actually tasted them)

Cons: Not really sure how much they help as far as actual dental hygeine
