It can be hard to get an adult cat to let you brush, but you can certainly try! Any new kitten should be acclimated to having his teeth brushed every day. The flavor seems to be well-liked among those cats who allow brushing. But because of the enzymes, even if you can't brush, just slip some toothpaste in you cats mouth or along his lips and he will swish it around as he licks, allowing it to do some good.

I was given a sample of this product by my vet for my cat with bad teeth, but my cat wouldn't let me use it. I had a tiny little toothbrush that's fits on your finger, that also didn't work. I don't blame the toothpaste but my cat who is a nervous type. This is probably a good product but I wasn't able to use it.

I brush both of my cat's teeth with this and they tolerate it pretty well. I used the rubber soft brush until they got used to the feeling of having their teeth brushed. Now I use the regular toothbrush.
Now if I could just get them to floss!!!

My cats love the flavor of this (a lot more than the brushing action), but they've gotten use to it with a lot of time and patience and their teeth look great!
