C.E.T. 0.12% Chlorhexidine Rinse, 8 oz SKU: 018VR-CET802 [printable] Virbac Dental Preparation Indications: For use on dogs, cats and horses between dental visits to help reduce inflammation and bleeding at the gumline. When gingival inflammation and bleeding subside, C.E.T. 0.12% Chlorhexidine Lavage should be discontinued and a regular home dental care program of brushing with an animal toothpaste should begin. C.E.T. 0.12% Chlorhexidine Rinse can be used to lavage the oral cavity before, during and after any dental procedure. Reduces the amount the aerosolized bacteria for greater operator safety. The antibacterial solution effectively flushes deep pockets, and contains no zinc. Apply liberally to all oral surfaces. May be used with oral irrigation devices for subgingival lavage Dosage and Administration: For the best results, use an applicator such as a soft-bristled toothbrush. Use with applicators: Place a small amount of C.E.T. 0.12% Chlorhexidine Lavage in a container. Gently hold the animal’s head and dip the toothbrush or other applicator in the C.E.T. 0.12% Chlorhexidine Lavage. Carefully brush the animal’s teeth in a gentle, circular motion. Remoisten the applicator as needed. Use as a rinse: Gently hold the animal's head with one hand, placing the spout inside the corner of the mouth and inserting the nozzle slightly inside the cheek. Gently squeeze the bottle to place a small amount of C.E.T. 0.12% Chlorhexidine Lavage between the cheek and the gums. Massage the mouth to work C.E.T 0.12% Chlorhexidine Lavage over the teeth. Repeat on the opposite side of the mouth. Caution(s): Keep all drugs out of the reach of children. Reversible teeth staining has been reported with the prolonged use of chlorhexidine.
