I feed this senior dry food even though my cat is under seven years old because both its protein and its fat content are lower than in the regular dry food. I try to keep the protein content low to protect the kidneys and the fat content low for weight control. I know the experts say not to do so, but I mix different brands of dry foods together. I don't always agree with the experts.

This is one of the foods we are currently feeding our cats. They really like all the Nutro Max Cat flavors we have fed them. One is slim and the other has gotten heavy, though, so we have purchased a second food for weight control and are slowly introducing that, mixing the two together.

We've switched from the regular Nutro to Senior Max for our 8 year old. It seems to be well tolerated.
