Reflective Cat Harness
posted 5 years ago
My daughter selected this harness as she wanted something fashionable and functional. There are limitations to the adjustments, and I do wish that the strap that connects the neck strap to the one that goes around the chest were just a little bit longer as the chest strap tends to ride up against the back of the front legs and annoy the cat.
The side squeeze buckles are better than a standard buckle, but be careful not to pinch cat skin or fur when closing them shut.
It takes the right tempermant for a cat to tolerate a harness for extended periods of time, and it is best to start harness training with a kitten.
Getting the right front leg through the chest strap can be a real challenge with a wiggly kitty.
A safe way to take your kitty outside and maintain some degree of control over it. Don't expect it to walk on a leash like a dog, though.
Try to make the size adjustments to the neck and chest straps when the harness is off the cat. Most cats won't hold still while you try to make these adjustments while they are wearing it. This may take several attempts of putting it on and taking it off to get the correct fit.
Under no circumstances, should you tie your cat up with this harness and leash to a tree or anything else outside. This product is not designed or intended to be used as an outdoor tie up of a cat!
Pros: Reflective Material for increased visibility
Cons: Back trap joing the neck strap to the chest strap could be adjustable or longer
