Works on Rabbits too.

posted 5 years ago

We had rescued a rabbit in 1989. It was a lopped ear male in our fenced in back yard. We never did find the owner, so we kept him. Bun Bun had his huge hutch in our garage and a cage in the house. When he was in the house, he would wear this harness and lead. It is all in one. You fit the cord just like a regular harness and clip it in place then the lead was the left over braid with handle. (hard to described.)

We used the harness lead on Bun Bun because he would get under furniture and we could not reach him. But with the lead, we could pull on it and get to him.

One of our dogs at that time was Loki who loved to clean Bun Bun's ears. And Loki was one of the smartest dog I have ever met. Loki learned if he stepped on this black cord, the rabbit could not move. Loki would tight rope walk on the lead until he was next to the rabbit. The rabbit could not go any where because Loki was standing on the lead.

Loki would clean the rabbit's ears completely, (Bun Bun had some loooooonnnnnnnng ears.). Once Loki was done, he would let Bun Bun go by stepping off the lead. Of course, this would make Bun Bun made who would start thumping then would chase Loki for a second and then Loki would chase Bun Bun.

I know got off the track here. But we loved that rabbit.

So the cat harness and lead allowed Bun Bun to be able to live in our house and us to be able to catch him when need be.

Pros: adjustable, works, affordable

Cons: not chew proof

Training My Cat

posted 4 years ago

I have been afraid to let Nani out on her own so we walk in the backyard together for awhile. She really loves that I care for her this much. She is just like a dog,but doesn't pull. She just sniffs thigs and Meows...This is a peace of mind product.

Pros: Fits on well

Cons: once you figure it out

My kitty goes out again

posted 4 years ago

My kitty used to go out,but would get scared and run from me. This set up allows us to walk around together and she doesn't get so scared. She is a house cat,but she likes to walk in the garden with me now.

Pros: it's good to walk the cat

Cons: cat needs a little training
