The Pawsitively Clean Ewww Enzyme-Powered Pet Stain & Odor Remover is a powerful new stain-busting formula from the folks at Bissell that promises to remove stains from urine, feces and other naturally occurring pet accidents.
Sounds like a win-win proposition — and it is. My initial dabblings in Ewww provided results. Right after getting the product, I had the unfortunate (but timely for this review) accident of stepping in dog poo. I scraped off what I could from the bottom of my shoes at the time and left the rest in the hands of Ewww. The results? Excellent.
Next stop? The carpet. In testing an area of carpet marked with poo, I am pleased to report that Ewww removed 100% of the stain. Keep in mind that to get similar results, it’s important to follow the directions, which require you to saturate the affected area and leave wet for up to 10 minutes before blotting with a dry cloth.
So I was satisfied with Ewww’s utility as a stain remover, but what about odor? The results in this area were just as stellar as promised. When tested on both dog and cat urine accidents, the deodorizing powers of Ewww were effective, without leaving the too-sweet smell that other pet odor control agents use — an overwhelming fragrance that can be as nauseating as the initial pet odors!
Bottom line? If you find yourself saying “ewww” to pet odors or stains, this nifty, effective product from Bissell will quickly change your tune.
Pros: Effective at controlling odors; stain removal powers are impressive.
