Plants grown in a dish like this are not long-lasting. The soil dries out quickly and the nutrients in the soil are used up quickly. The plant turns yellow unless fertilized. But... if you get this far, you are lucky because most cats eat it up before you get to this point!
Pros: Fresh greens any time of year, cats love catnip
Cons: Plant is not long-lasting
