My cats really enjoyed playing with these. I had to get several of them to prevent my cats from feuding. I did remove the bell before giving them to the cats. I don't think the bell is safe and my cats don't seem to care for bells. The socks do tend to look a little disgusting after the cats have slobbered on them. After the catnip scent is gone, I throw them in the trash.

I brought a foster litter home once and there was one of these in the carrier. I've been buying them ever since. They last forever and the cats love them. I bet if you moved my couch, there would be at least one of these under there.
