NutriPlan Gourmet Whitefish & Tuna Dinner Was Another Hit!
posted 5 years ago
The Gourmet Whitefish & Tuna Dinner was another NutriPlan HIT with my cats. I offered it to one cat at a time (Chetzer, KeyZo, Zac, and Skizzy--in order), and all but KeyZo dove right into it and seemed to really enjoy its taste. (Perhaps KeyZo just wasn't hungry at the time.) They seemed to actually like this Whitefish & Tuna somewhat more so than the comparable Fancy Feast version. (NutriPlan continues to surprise me!!!)
The first three ingredients are ocean whitefish, liver (?), and fish, followed by meat by-products. Like virtually all catfood, this food has its share of "additional ingredients", but they are not obscene!
Given the fairly recent and numerous catfood recalls in the U.S., I'm not sure if a "Product of Canada" is advantageous. I haven't heard anything to the contrary, but I really just don't know at this time....
The NutriPlan does cost about 10% or so LESS than Fancy Feast, so could result in a substantial savings over the course of a year when feeding six cats!! I'm not ready to replace Fancy Feast, but I will at least be "supplementing" (or "complementing") it with the NutriPlan.
Pros: Palatable/Tasty to Cats; AAFCO Tested/Substantiated; Less Costly Than Fancy Feast
Cons: Product of Canada??? Small 3 ounce cans (typical of "gourmet" cat foods)
