Show Loves Turkey Tuscany with sauce, rice and greens
posted 4 years ago
Shadow is an elder gentleman cat, about 12 or 13. Although we feed the wild cats outside, Shadow doesn't go outside except when I'm sweeping, and makes a dash for green plants to eat.
This summer we treated him with Fancy Feast. He's a picky eater and won't eat scraps. Usually just a side of dry food and side of moist or packet food with gravy. But he loved the Elegant Medleys. Its the greens. He's especially fond of the tuna, the turkey and the souffle.
Today I'm review the Turkey in honor of upcoming Thanksgiving. We just celebrate Thanksgiving in America, because the holiday was born out of a shared meal between the Indigenous people living here and the new ones who came to settle here.
Especially for indoor cats, it is important to give your special friend a wide variety of nutrition, and that includes the vitamins so rich in greens, such as iron.
The chlorophyll, I suppose, is also good for sweeter headbutts, since it helps their breath.
The ingle serving cans stay fresh and are small enough that we don't have too much waste. Around here, any leftovers go to the outside cats and we wash Shadow's bowl every day or two. Because Shdadow eats in the kitchen under the window, slugs crawl in and make a web by his bowl at night, so if you keep slugs for a pet, also consider this food. <g>
Used to be, we could get this at our local superstore, but they don't seem to carry it. The other store in two carries the brand but not "with greens" so we always stock up at Reasor's in Tahlequah when we're in that town.
I feel confident about buying a couple of weeks' supply at a time (of course, we rotate and mix up the choices) because I think the cans keep better than pouch food.
And with Shadow, we love him dearly and want him to stay healthy despite his age, so when he's a picky eater we listen and pamper him.
Pros: Convenient, and great nutritional variety
Cons: More expensive and harder to find

Tasty!
posted 4 years ago
This is probably third on the list of favorites for the cats following the flavors with whipped egg. The kitties inhale it every time & then go around to every bowl looking for leftover tidbits to lap up. Its expensive, especially for multi-cat households, but is one of the few brands all the cats will eat.
Pros: cats like it
Cons: expensive

The names are so tempting

I buy these just because they sound so good to me. These have an excellent amount of thick sauce, which is what some of them really prefer. They are too pricey for us to use every day, but we pick up a 24-pack for variety when at the store getting the regular food.
Pros: Taste and sauce
Cons: price

Another hit by Fancy Feast
posted 4 years ago
Kittles is fussy and only likes about 6 flavors of this in the florentine and primavera collection. I bought this on a whim and he loved it. I will have to check and see what other Tuscany flavors they have! Another one to put on his like list!
Pros: Fancy Feast line
Cons: a little more costly
