Eagle Pack Holistic Select Duck & Chicken Formula

My cats usually aren't crazy about the various "all natural" or "holistic" foods, but they did like this Eagle Pack "Holistic Select Duck & Chicken Formula". Like other similar cat foods, it contains peas and carrots (among other things), but they are NOT in large or whole pieces. Being "blended" into the food apparently leads to a greater likelihood that the vegetables will actually be eaten instead of tossed aside!

Although I'm not really qualified to evaluate the list of ingredients, I can say that it is NOT an extensive list of "garbage". There are limited ingredients, and the food--as named--is largely "duck & chicken". However, it does contain a significant amount of "oatmeal".

On the negative side, the writing on the label is VERY small and virtually impossible to read in spots--the small white lettering is on a light green and almost white background, and this blurs the words into the background. The words on the label SHOULD be legible, but they are NOT in places. (It is almost as though some of the ingredients are "in disguise". If that isn't the intent, then the print and coloring should be CHANGED!)

Pros: "Natural"; Doesn't contain a lot of additives

Cons: Designated for cats AND kittens (no distinction by nutritional needs)
