I have a rescue cat who hates all other cats - and most people as well. She lives in her own room, but if another cat inadvertently came in there was war. Plus, she would spend hours each day growling at the door. I found Cat Faeries Flower essences for Cats online, and ordered the Territorial Rescue. I dropped three drops into her water, and that was all. Gradually, she was able to relax and tolerate the fact that other cats lived in the house, and she even became able to ignore any errant cats invading her space. Directions on the bottle state that you can put the drops in food, or on the hair of the neck, or the ears, but my cat did not like this. Flower essences (Bach is the brand made for people) are kind of homeopathic. The proof is in the results - she's a happier cat.
