If you don't mind cleaning up a lake of water around the dish for your cats, the product is great. I do not advise this for cats unless your cats hate to play in water.

Pros: Fresh water for the animal

Cons: Attracts the cats to play and splash.

I got one of these fountains when I realized that one fountain is not enough for three adult cats. I got it on sale because you know how expensive these can be. Mine doesn't have a bowl attached, it's just the dome. I really like it. The water lasts longer than my petmate fountain and stays fresh and cool. The filter doesn't last really long because my cats paw at it so it collects hair. The only thing I don't like about it is the screw on the top that you're supposed to lift it up with really doesn't work to well. Other than that I would recommend it (especially if you can find it on sale!).

Pros: cheap, keeps water cool and filtered

Cons: not extremely durable
