If you've been shopping for an automatic feeder but have been put off by the high prices of digital or timer-driven options, the PETCO Ultra Cat Feeder is an ideal solution for you and your pets.

The product could not be easier to use -- simply detach, fill, and you're ready to go. Because the product dispenses automatically, the Ultra Cat Feeder only works with dry cat food -- which may not be suitable for more finicky eaters. On the plus side, though, the convenience of not having to set a timer or replace batteries is great for owners of dry-food-loving felines.

And the retail price of under $11 online can't be beat -- you can even buy an extra for outdoor use.

The only drawback to an otherwise great bargain is the lightweight construction of the feeder. Aggressive or especially active cats may be able to tip the feeder over -- but this was not a problem with our tester kitty.

Bottom line: a great value, PETCO's Ultra Cat Feeder makes dispensing food while you're away a snap.

Pros: Affordable; simple to use.

Cons: Lightweight; does not have a timer.
