Pine Cone/peanut Butter Homemade Birdfeeder

This is a homemade classic that has been around for years. A favorite craft for scouts and school kids. Youu can be as creative as you want by adding seed and fruits once you fill in the peanut butter. Store in the freezer before hanging outside. Not a good idea for use in the warmer months as it could turn rancid.

My kids loved to make these. They're easy, inexpensive, the birds appreciate them & they teach children to care about animals. And it keeps them busy doing something constructive, then they can watch the response to their efforts. It's a terrific project, & it's fun for grown-ups too.
