These "honey bars" are basically an assortment of seeds and fruits pressed into a bar that easily attaches to the side of the cage with twist tie. They are a good treat and add some variety to the bird's diet. I hang it over the food dish so any crumbles fall off into the dish. I think you could use this in the cage as a vacation feeder if you were to be gone a weekend or something, although it is considered a "treat" since it has honey. It is enriched with vitamins and minerals and also contains things like: papaya, pineapple, corn, apple, rosehips, and coconut. YUM.

I have four cockatiels and I use these in one of the Lixit type treat stick holders (which are wonderful; they keep the seeds from flying everywhere). Somehow, they love these so much that they will finish these off within hours and I'll come back into the room to see just a wooden stick left dangling off the treatholder. It used to be a treat stick would last a few weeks....I don't know what happened. The 8 in 1 Brand must have improved flavor or something!

my boys pretty much enjoy the treat sticks. these sre no exception. for change i give them any stick they can handel from bonure to keet. it makes them work a bit to get the seeds and then they can chew the stick.

Our cockatiels devour these treats as soon as I put them in the cage. They're a tasty and healthy treat that the birds actually enjoy. The only downside - they make a big mess!

This is really good for small birds. My sister in law has a lot of birds and when I bird sit we have to hook these into the cages for them. They just tear them up!!
