My two parakeets liked it. But some birds might be scared of it since its enclosed. I like it tho cuz my birds couldnt splash water everywhere and make a big mess.

Pros: water dont splash everywhere

Cons: some birds are scared

Since this is an inside bird bath, I don't see why there's a "weatherproof" rating.

I have been foolish enough to try this bird bath twice because it's the only bird bath our local Petsmart sells. Talk about a pain to attach. The little clips are next to useless and were broken in the first one I purchased--that should have been a warning. And then it's just as painful to remove. It sits on the outside of the cage and my parakeets didn't seem very thrilled with that--at all.

Pros: Large; covered

Cons: Hard to attach/remove; sits outside of the cage
