Concerned about the painted/dyed wood; parakeets ignored

My four parakeets never expressed any interest in this toy. Also, I had some concerns about the painted/dyed wood. It was a pretty expensive toy to end up throwing away.
Pros: None
Cons: Parakeets ignored it, concerned about the paint/dye on the wood
